7×65 R
7×65 R Brenneke · 7 x 65 R
The rimmed counterpart of the 7×64, for break-action rifles (double rifles, drillings, combination guns). Very common in these guns in Central Europe.
The 7×65 R was designed by Wilhelm Brenneke. The rimmed case suits break-action firearms, so it is a common cartridge in double rifles, drillings and combination guns.
The CIP maximum pressure (3,800 bar) is lower than that of the 7×64, so muzzle velocity is somewhat lower than that of its rimless counterpart.
Poľovnícke použitie
Used on red deer, fallow deer, wild boar, mouflon and roe deer, typically from break-action guns in wooded or brushy country. Typical bullet weights are 130–180 grain (8.4–11.7 g).
